Welcome to the Frostwilds

Far beyond the warmer valleys lies a land of snow, glaciers and frozen mountains.

These are the Frostwilds.

The wind whistles between enormous walls of ice.

Snow covers the valleys.

And great glaciers slowly move across the land.

Animals have lived here for generations, learning where the safe paths cross the ice.

But the Frostwilds are always changing.

Ice cracks.

Glaciers move.

Old paths disappear.

And sometimes…

new things appear.

Deep beneath one enormous sheet of clear blue ice, strange shapes can sometimes be seen.

At first they look like rocks.

But some seem too straight.

Too tall.

Too regular.

Almost like…

buildings.

Owlix has heard the Tales.

But even he doesn’t know what’s really beneath the ice.

And so far…

nobody has found a way down.

Something Walks Across the Ice…

The Frostwilds can be a difficult place to cross.

Deep snow hides the ground.

Ice breaks without warning.

And when the winter storms arrive, even familiar paths can disappear overnight.

But sometimes, after the storm has passed, animals discover something strange.

Footprints.

Enormous footprints.

They begin near the frozen mountains…

cross valleys buried beneath the snow…

and sometimes end at the edge of the sea.

No one knows who—or what—makes them.

Some say a huge creature wanders the Frostwilds whenever the storms become dangerous.

Others claim they’ve seen something moving beneath the freezing water.

Something far too large to be a penguin.

And yet…

one explorer swears that whatever it was…

waddled.

Owlix has heard that story before.

He knows there was once a Paimul who could go where few others could.

Across the ice.

Through the snow.

And even…

beneath the freezing water.

But that is another Tale.
